Well I had a lovely 5 day weekend over the 4th of July holiday. I decided to get some crafty things done because I had found so many tutorials that needed to be tried. I have also found some wonderful inspiration for other things too.
First project was this little knitted winter headband. It's perfect for those days that you don't want to mess up your hair but need to keep your ears warm. Found it by way of this lovely tutorial at CraftSnob.
It was a perfect project for a beginner like me.
Next up was a desk organizer. I had been at the store a day earlier and passed the color duct tape and thought, oohh what can I do with those? Lucky for me I found a wonderful tutorial on how to make a duct tape flower and turned it into making a whole desk organizer. I only used duct tape and foam board. It took some time to make because there is a lot of measuring and getting things taped correctly but I'm really happy with how it turned out. The lovely how to is here at How Joyful.
The pretty silver flower.
Last project was a reverse tie dye t-shirt using bleach instead of dye. You can find instructions here at the very creative Honestly WTF
One of the days was spent antiquing with my mother and I found a few little things. I don't have enough money to afford most of the things I see that I love. I already know what I'm doing with the bottles, especially the pretty purple tinted one. Not sure about the buttons yet and the cameo is a pin so that can be worn many ways.
I'll leave you with a few of my inspiration finds. Not going to say what I'm inspired to do because you might think of something wonderful yourself.
